Snow in Texas

The high for Friday is expected to be 40, Low 29. Snow starting around 09:00 and lasting till around 5 inches falls on the Gulf Coast area. Closer to the water you get, the more snow expected.
Very unusual weather we have been having the last few years!! This is the 4th snow in 6 years.
2004, 2006, 2008, 2009
Last winter we had record levels of snow and now we expect that record to go bye-bye. This will be the earliest it's snowed!

Here's a blog in Bayou Vista, Texas which is right on the water just across the causeway from Galveston, Texas. They have lots of pictures of palm trees and snow from 2004 when it snowed on Christmas Day.

12/5/09 UPDATE - the snow didn't do everything it was expected to do. It snowed several inches in Houston and several surrounding areas.
Even snowed in Galveston for a lilttle while.
The warm ground and rain before and after the snow made it melt pretty fast, but while it lasted IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!

Saturday morning it was 28 degrees at sunrise.
It made for a cold seat.

One doggie snuggled under the covers in her bed.

And one doggie was just mad because she had to wear a coat to stop the shivers. Those ears pointing backwards are a sure sign of ticked-off!
