Colds, Christmas and just running at the mouth.

I'm sick with a cold this weekend that I picked up at work. The sickie who was passing it around kept saying it was allergies. I wasn't thinking or I would have realized that all the grass is dead and all the trees are in hibernation. There is no pollen to have allergies for at this time of year.
Staying inside since I got off work Friday, and I am bored stiff. It's cold outside and cloudy, grey, wet, gloomy. Normally a day I LOVE - but not good to hang out in if you are sick.
My head swirls if I do much, so cleaning house and grocery shopping is out of the scope of "able to do" things. (WOO-HOO) Normally I have no excuse for not doing them.

Thought I'd sit on my fanny and clean up the blog. Looking at this blog, you'd think all I ever do is crochet. That's not true. As with everybody else, crafting is a small part of what I do.
When I started this blog, I was crocheting a LOT because I was working to finish blankets in time for Christmas. Theblankets are done, gone, and in new homes now. Things have moved on and other projects have been finished and put away. I made Christmas Stockings and repaired a tree skirt that Mother made years ago and put them away till winter 2010. I'll start Christmas projects again in September. Shopping will start then, too.

Working 12 hour shifts takes up all of the day on days I work and on days off there are book size lists of things to do. Laundry, household shopping, cleaning, repairs that need to be made, remodeling work that is never ending, yard work, and all that stuff that is always on the TO-DO list. You know, the same things everybody has to get done.
Then is the list of fun things - catch a movie, out to dinner with family and friends, girls-night-out, motorcycle rides, take the dogs to the dog park and all those things that are worth the effort but take time that is always too short.
