So many stitches to make up the blanket. Each stitch made in its time, each square coming together because of many stitches. Each one beautiful, each one separate, each one independent of the others, yet when mingled among the others they make something amazing. All the squares depending on each other for strength and support while adding vibrancy to the blanket as a whole . . . . . . . . . .
Like members of a family.
I'll be working New Year's Eve on nightshift so there won't be any wild parties this year for me. Which is fine - the rainy weather is reason enough to stay out of traffic.
